PUBLIC HEARING

Dave Lent, Board Chair, called the meeting to at 7:04 PM
NEW TECH AND PROPOSED SECONDARY SCHOOL CHANGES
Superintendent Boland and Mr. Lent presented a PowerPoint regarding the proposed changes at the secondary
ththth
level. The changes include moving 9 graders to the high schools, 7 and 8 graders at two middle schools and
repurposing Clair E Gale as a magnet high school. The Board is proposing these changes in order to help students,
and the District, meet the requirements of the Students Come First Legislation passed last spring. Superintendent
Boland and Board members responded to questions after the presentation. The information presented tonight will
be posted on the district website for review with a link included to provide feedback. The final presentation is

planned for Wednesday, November 2 at Taylorview Junior High.

Chaffin, Jonathan Hatch and Nikki Parker. Nathan Marshall submitted written comments after the meeting
concluded.
