Excused: Jerry Wixom, Chairman Susan Hulse, PIO, and Recording Secretary
Jerry Shively moved and Ernest Jensen seconded the motion to go to Executive Session. Motion passed.
Tracie Miller and Ernest Jensen seconded the motion to move to open session. Motion passed.
The pledge of Allegiance was led by a local Idaho Falls Boy Scout.
Kay Moore introduced Joy Wilkie, Sunnyside School secretary. Joy is the heart and soul of Sunnyside
helping all in whatever they need. She is defiantly a “joy” to work with. Tracie Miller presented The
Emissary of Excellence plaque to Joy and commended her on her level of commitment to the Sunnyside
students.
Rebecca Roesener, Spectrum teacher at Sunnyside introduced FAME volunteer Jill Wright. Jill goes the
extra mile as the lead coordinator for FAME and classroom FAME presenter. She also is Sunnyside’s
Education Foundation representative and a Zone Rep. Some of the Sunnyside classroom art was displayed
for a month at the Eagle Rock Art Museum. Tracie Miller presented the Volunteer of the month award
and plaque to Jill. Tracie commended her continued support of FAME over the years.

REPORTS
Sadie Vandersloot, Student Representative from Skyline High School reported on the following activities:
Wrestling, boys and girls basketball, band is going on a trip soon, and the drug awareness event on 1/26
with nationally known hypnotist Marc Savard.
Mason West, Student Representative from Idaho Falls High School reported on the following activities:
Next week is multi-cultural week, Coach Boone from Remember the Titans is speaking during lunch
games, upcoming lock-in, boys and girls basketball and wrestling. Also the Debate Team came in top 5
in competition and currently there is Idaho Fall High School Art at Eagle Rock Museum.

IFEA Report
Jan Lang reported on the IEA’s 1% of sales tax initiative to bring schools more funding.
Education Foundation Report
Brian Arave reported on the general membership meeting that was attended by parent and teachers, led by
Zone Representatives. The Support My School campaign will fund classroom projects. Educators will
make a wish list that Education Foundation will market to the public. Microserve has been asked to
serve as website host for free so the public can look up these wishlists. Brian is looking at marketing on
Billboards/pizza boxes. Estate planning council will grow the endowment fund. A will seminar for
District 91 employees has been discussed. Mayor Fuhriman is planning an event. His goal is to help
higher education to fund scholarships through a yearly event for college or tech. school.
Superintendent’s Report- Kay Moore, Principal of Sunnyside provided an update on school-wide
achievement, PACE, foster grandparents, staff development and teacher collaboration.
PROPOSALS
There were no proposals.
ACTION ITEMS
Motion was moved by Ernest Jensen and seconded by Jerry Shively to adopt- Revised Policy 107.
Motion passed.
Motion was moved by Tracie Miller and seconded by Jared Fuhriman to reschedule March Work Session
to Tuesday, March 21, 2006. Motion passed.
Motion was moved by Jerry Shively and seconded by Ernest Jensen to declare Trustee Vacancy in Zone
3. Motion passed.
Ernest Jensen nominated Jerry Shively to serve as Vice Chair and Tracie Miller to serve as Clerk. Tracie
Miller seconded. Motion passed.
Ernest moved and Tracie Miller seconded the motion of the time-line for the appointment of the new
Zone 3 Trustee. Motion passed.
