BOARD OF TRUSTEES – SPECIAL PUBLIC HEARING MEETING

Chairman Lent called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Carrie Smith.
PUBLIC HEARING
a.American Heritage Charter School Petition
Deby Infanger, President and Chairman of the American Heritage Charter School (AHCS) Founding Board,
on behalf of the Founders, the Board and parents and grandparents that have expressed an interest in
opening American Heritage Charter School provided a summary of the proposed charter. Mrs. Infanger
asked the Board of Trustees for their consideration in authorizing the charter through Idaho Falls School
District 91. Mrs. Infanger introduced other founding members in attendance as well as Gail DeSchmidt,
Head Administrator, Gooding North Valley Academy Charter School and Jim Dalton, Co-Founder and
parent, who also spoke on behalf of the charter schools. After her presentation Mrs. Infanger answered
questions from the Board.
b.Public Input – No input.
Chairman Lent thanked everyone for coming to the meeting tonight and stated the Review Committee will need to
complete the evaluation process before the Board can make a decision. This item will be added to the May 8, 2012
agenda as an action item.
Jerry Wixom moved to adjourn. Deidre Warden seconded. Meeting adjourned at 8:13 pm.
