BOARD OF TRUSTEES -- WORK SESSION

Chairman Warden called the meeting to order at 4:31 PM.
ADOPT AGENDA
Trustee Haws made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Trustee Haacke provided the second.
Motion carried 3 ayes, 0 nays.
WORK SESSION
a. Civic Center for the Performing Arts Review of Renovation Phases II & III – A copy is attached
Civic Auditorium Committee Chair Arthur Kull presented to the board, the Civic Auditorium Scope of
Renovation Phases II & III. Under the current Civic Auditorium Use Agreement, the school district
uses space owned by the city for classrooms during the school day. A discussion was held about
returning the current space used by the district to the Civic Center for their use.
b. District 91 Review of Idaho Falls High School
Superintendent Boland stated a feasibility study would need to be conducted to relocate the art and
band classrooms as there is not satisfactory space in the current Idaho Falls High School building.
c. Discussion of Items of Common Interest
Retaining access to the north entrance to Idaho Falls High School’s little theatre between the Civic
Center and Idaho Falls High School was discussed.

Chairman Warden called for a motion to move in to Executive Session. Trustee Wilson made a motion to go
in to Executive Session pursuant to Idaho Code, Section 74-206 (1) (b) Personnel. Trustee Haacke provided
the second. A roll call vote was taken:

Larry Wilson – yes
Paul Haacke – yes
Larry Haws – yes
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Superintendent Boland and the Board of Trustees met in Executive Session at 5:15 p.m. regarding personnel
matters.
Chairman Warden made a motion to return to Open Session at 5:25 PM. Trustee Wilson provided the
second. Motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. Trustee Haws made the motion to adjourn. Trustee Haacke provided
the second. Motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. Meeting adjourned at 5:26 PM.
