Board Meeting Minutes
May 14, 2002
Executive Session: Personnel, S67-2345(b), IDAHO CODE
The Board of Trustees met in Executive Session to discuss personnel items.
Opening Ceremonies: Dr. John Murdoch led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Adoption of the Agenda
It was moved by Ernest Jensen and seconded by Jerry Wixom to adopt the agenda with
one addition: Action Item C: Teacher Probation. Motion passed.
Consent Agenda
It was moved by Sharon Parry and seconded by Ernest Jensen to approve the minutes of
April 16, 19 and 23, 2002, Payment of Claims, and staff action items. Motion passed.
Reports
Superintendent's Report: Curriculum
Curriculum Supervisor Craig Ashton gave a presentation of the Curriculum Unity
• Project. District #91 is a leader in curriculum development and has been invited to make
presentations at national conferences next year.
Action Items
Trustee Election — Zones 3 & 5: It was moved by Ernest Jensen and seconded by Jerry
Wixom pursuant to all provisions of 33-502 and 33-502B of Idaho Code, that Brian
Crouch be declared as elected trustee from Zone 3 and that Sharon Parry be Iikewise
declared as elected trustee from Zone 5. It was further moved and seconded that all
correspondence so related to this motion as enclosed in the Board folder of May 14,
2002, be entered into the official record of the district. Motion passed.
Audit Contract FY02: It was moved by Jerry Wixom and seconded by Ernest Jensen to
award the contract for the FY02 audit to Galusha, Higgins and Galusha. Motion passed.
Personnel Action: It was moved by Sharon Parry and seconded by Ernest Jensen that
probation be extended into the 2002-03 school year for certificated employee `A', 2001-
02, and certificated employee `B', 2001-02. Motion passed.
Adjournment
It was moved by Jerry Wixom and seconded by Alan Reed to adjourn the Business
meeting. Time: 12:16 P.M. Motion passed.
