ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
Jerry Wixom moved and Sharon Parry seconded the motion to adopt the agenda as written.
Motion passed.
MATCHING FUNDS
Sharon Parry moved and Jerry Shively seconded the motion to approve matching funds in the
amount of $2,500 for Edgemont Elementary School. Motion passed.
CONSENT AGENDA
Jerry Shively moved and Sharon Parry seconded the motion to approve the Consent Agenda,
consisting of Board Meeting Minutes of November 25 and December 3, payment of claims for
December, and staff actions. Motion passed.
REPORTS
The following patrons addressed the Board regarding the Idaho Leadership Academy:

IFEA -no report
Outsourcing Feasibility Study —
Craig Ashton discussed the feasibility study for contracting district custodial, maintenance,
technology and transportation services. A handout was distributed explaining any savings the
district could expect. Mr. Ashton described the model used in the Pocatello district, and how it
could apply to our district.

PROPOSALS
Elementary School Closures — Eighth Reading - As additional information becomes available, it
is added to the information packet. These packets are available for anyone desiring information.
This agenda item will remain as a proposal.
ACTION ITEMS
Set Work Session - Jerry Wixom moved and Jared Fuhriman seconded the motion to set a work
session to follow the January 13th Board Meeting. Motion passed.
Reschedule January 27, 2004 Board Meeting for ERJHS - Sharon Parry moved and Jared
Fuhriman seconded the motion to reschedule the January 27, 2004, Board Meeting at Eagle Rock
Junior High at 7:00 p.m. Motion passed.
Idaho Leadership AcademX - Jared Fuhriman moved and Sharon Parry seconded the motion to
grant the petitioners for an ILA Charter School an extension of 60 days, beginning December 12,
2003, to resubmit their petition utilizing the format and definitions of State Board of Education
rules passed November 4, 2003, and to be in compliance with State Board Rules and Idaho Falls
School District 491 Board Policy. Motion passed.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Jerry Wixom moved and Sharon Parry seconded the motion to move to Executive Session.
Motion passed.
Jared Fuhriman moved and Jerry Shively seconded the motion to adjourn. Motion passed.
