OPENING EXERCISES
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Superintendent John Murdoch.
ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
Jerry Wixom moved and Jared Fuhriman seconded the motion to adopt the agenda as written.
Motion passed.
CONSENT AGENDA
Sharon Parry moved and Jerry Shively seconded the motion to approve Board Meeting Minutes
of January 13, 2004. Motion passed.
REPORTS/INPUT/INFORMATION
Student Reports
Zak Carlson reported on Idaho Falls High School activities.
Tran Turner reported on Skyline High School activities.
Patron Input
Dr. Robert Tolman read a letter to the Board from Marlen Georgia, a teacher at Westview.
Don Bottcher spoke to the Board regarding school closures.
Mary Haley spoke to the Board regarding Westview and school closures.
Karen Braase, Emerson PTO President, thanked the teachers for their hard work and spoke
regarding school closures.
Larry Lyon spoke to the Board regarding Westview and school closures.
Dianna Thomson spoke to the Board regarding school closures.
Basis Barna spoke to the Board regarding school closures.
Susan Barna spoke to the Board regarding school closures.
Craig Wendt spoke to the Board regarding school closures.

Gene Lund discussed the following classes newly available to teachers:
1. Stress Reduction — distance learning (computer)
2. Child Abuse — distance learning (computer)
3. New Teacher Class — for teachers with less than 4 years of experience
4. ESP — Preparing for the Test
Superintendent's Report
No report.
ACTION ITEMS
Following a discussion by trustees, Jerry Wixom moved and Jared Fuhriman seconded the motion
to close Osgood Elementary School. Vote: 4 yes, 1 no. Motion passed.
Jerry Wixom moved and Jerry Shively seconded the motion to close Emerson Elementary School.
Vote: 4 yes, 1 no. Motion passed.
Sharon Parry moved to table the motion to relocate Westview School to the Emerson facility.
Jerry Shively seconded the motion. Vote: 3 yes, 2 no. Motion passed.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Jerry Wixom moved and Jared Fuhriman seconded the motion to move to executive session.
Motion passed.
Jared Fuhriman moved and Jerry Shively seconded the motion to adjourn. Motion passed.
