OPENING CEREMONIES
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Jerry Shively
Camille Wood, Supervisor of Technology Services, introduced Rene Miller, Technology and
Software Specialist for School District 491. Mrs. Wood commended Rene for her ability to work
with people and solve software problems. Ernest Jensen commended Mrs. Miller for her
contributions to the district and awarded her the Emissary of Excellence Award.
ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
Jerry Shively moved and Jared Fuhriman seconded the motion to amend the agenda adding
V.c. Student Discipline. Motion passed.
Jerry Wixom moved and Sharon Parry seconded the motion to adopt the agenda as amended.
Motion passed.
CONSENT AGENDA
Sharon Parry moved and Jerry Shively seconded the motion to approve the Consent Agenda
including Board Meeting Minutes of July 27, 2004, payment of July claims, and the following
staff actions:
Leave of Absence:
Linda Mabe, Sunnyside School
Suzanne Gurney, Gale Jr. High
Resignations:
Kathy Allen, Erickson
Jill Illum, Psychologist
Jackie Stephens, School Nurse

ACTION ITEMS
Jerry Wixom moved and Sharon Parry seconded the motion to authorize the sale of surplus
equipment listed below:
Printing Press
Printing Plate Processor
School Busses
Powered Platform Hoist
Motion passed.
Sharon Parry moved and Jared Fuhriman seconded the motion to accept the Idaho Council for
Technology in Learning Phase I report. Motion passed.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Jerry Shively moved and Jared Fuhriman seconded the motion to move to executive session.
Motion passed.
Jerry Shively moved and Jerry Wixom seconded the motion to move to open session. Motion
passed.
OPEN SESSION
Jared Fuhriman moved and Jerry Shively seconded the motion to readmit Student 2003-04A to
Idaho Falls High School for the 2004-05 school year with conditions to be identified by the
administration.
Sharon Parry moved and Jerry Wixom seconded the motion to adjourn. Motion passed.
