9:00 a.m. Dave Lent, Board Chair, called the meeting to order.
Dave Lent led a discussion on governance and the role and responsibilities of the school board.
Superintendent Boland introduced Wendy Green Lowe, a Public Participation Facilitator working through IAP2,
who has agreed to help facilitate the upcoming Strategic Planning Advisory Council meeting planned for
September 21, 2010. Wendy is a certified facilitator with 25 years of experience. Wendy explained her philosophy
and methods of engaging others with the Board and District Administrators.
Dave Lent led a discussion, with the Superintendent and the Board, regarding leadership concepts. The focus today
was about trust.
