TITLE: Curriculum Design Fellowship
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate endorsed for appropriate levels and subjects.
Minimum of two years of secondary teaching experience.
Highly qualified status in the appropriate subject.
Strong technology skills.
Ability to work with students, staff, parents, and the public.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Director of Student Achievement.
JOB GOALS:
To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.
To develop and revise District curriculum in accordance with state and district standards.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works collaboratively and creatively to develop secondary courses with cross-curricular connections.
Aligns courses with English Language Arts and Content Literacy Core Standards.
Creates content that represents current, research-based instruction by utilizing content knowledge, collaboration with subject matter experts and in-depth study of related resources.
Creates and revises curriculum documents within the established deadlines.
Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all other duties as assigned consistent with the responsibilities of a teacher, the Idaho Code of Ethics, and the negotiated contract.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The exact terms of this position will be determined by the needs of the district and budgetary constraints. The salary will be in accordance with the approved stipend for this position.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Director of Student Achievement in accordance with provisions of the negotiated master agreement and Board policy.
