TITLE: Federal Programs Consulting Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Idaho Standard Teaching Certificate
Minimum of three years’ teaching experience, preferably in a Title I school with English Learner programs
Valid Idaho driver’s license
Ability to work with students, staff, parents, and the public
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
REPORTS TO: Director of Student Achievement and School Improvement
JOB GOALS:
To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.
To support and monitor implementation of building-based supplemental instruction including Title I Schoolwide, Title I Targeted Assistance, and English Learner programs.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with the Director of Student Achievement and School Improvement to facilitate building-level implementation of federal and state program guidance.
Assists with planning, organization, and implementation of building-level supplemental instruction programs.
Develops and provides training to administrators, teachers, and paraprofessionals on program protocols, supplemental resources, and instructional strategies.
Provides training on developing and progress monitoring Title I student intervention plans and ELPs.
Provides ongoing training and support to intervention specialists and Title I/EL leads.
Reviews district and building-level student achievement data to monitor and adjust intervention programs to best meet student needs.
Reviews instructional materials and makes recommendations regarding adoption of supplemental resources needed to meet student needs.
Serves on various district wide committees to provide expertise regarding supplemental instruction programs.
Seeks out opportunities for professional growth.
Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all other duties as assigned consistent with the responsibilities of a teacher, the Idaho Code of Ethics, and the negotiated contract.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The exact terms of this position will be determined by the needs of the district and budgetary constraints. Benefits will be in accordance with approved board policy. Salary will
be in accordance with the placement on the Teacher’s Salary Schedule commensurate with years of experience and education.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Director of Student Achievement and School Improvement in accordance with provisions of the negotiated master agreement
and board policy.
