TITLE: Instructional Technology Coach
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holds a valid Idaho Teaching Certificate;
Three or more years of successful classroom teaching experience in a technology-rich learning environment;
Successful experience as an educational leader;
Provide sample artifacts demonstrating the use of technology as a tool for authentic student learning;
Skills:
Strong planning, organizational and presentation skills;
Outstanding oral and written communication skills;
Operate a variety of instructional technology tools;
Problem solve to analyze issues and create action plans
Generate tutorials, multi-media presentations, and promotions;
Troubleshoot technology issues;
Web design and maintenance;
Design and analyze data reports;
Knowledge of:
Policies and regulation guidelines as they relate to educational technology;
Educational and learning management software;
Managing a 1:1 classroom environment
Current curriculum and instructional methods;
HTML and Javascript helpful;
Blended learning instructional model;
Abilities:
Work with teachers and students to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process;
Adapt to changing work priorities;
Self-starter
Work effectively under limited supervision
Communicate with diverse groups;
Meet deadlines and schedules;
Work as part of a team;
Coach/mentor others;
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
REPORTS TO: Director of Curriculum and Professional Development
JOB GOALS:
The Instructional Technology Coach will lead and support the integration of technology into teaching and learning to raise student engagement and achievement. This position will serve
as a liaison between the curriculum and IT departments by representing a teacher perspective in the IT department. The instructional technology coach will provide ongoing and relevant
professional learning for teachers to accelerate student learning, evaluate instructional programs and practices, use data to evaluate program effectiveness, and provide job-embedded
support for teachers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide professional development on instructional technology integration;
Coach teachers in and model the design and implementation of technology-enhanced learning experiences using a variety of research-based, learner-centered instructional strategies, resources,
and assessment tools;
Maintain a current knowledge of effective instructional and coaching pedagogies;
Design curriculum and instruction to support technology-rich classrooms;
Instructional coaching through collaborative planning, classroom support, and teacher feedback
Effectively use administrative privileges in instructional technology systems to assist teachers with technology issues;
Support blended learning initiative;
Develop and maintain a collection of just-in-time resources for teachers;
Conduct research and participate in the decision making processes related to instructional technology acquisition and deployment;
Design and maintain websites for Curriculum and Professional Development;
Participate in training opportunities to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions;
Cultivate and model a respectful working and learning environment
Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and maintain the integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or District patrons
Has regular and predictable attendance

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all other duties as assigned consistent with the responsibilities of a teacher, the Idaho Code of Ethics, and the negotiated contract.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The exact terms of this position will be determined by the needs of the district and budgetary constraints. Benefits will be in accordance with approved board policy. Salary will be
in accordance with the placement on the Teacher’s Salary Schedule commensurate with years of experience and education.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Director of Curriculum and Professional Development as part of the teacher evaluation process in accordance with provisions
of the negotiated master agreement and board policy.
