Ability to work with students, staff, parents, and the public. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Building Principal JOB GOALS: New Teacher Mentors School Level: Elementary and Secondary To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement. To help students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible individuals. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with teachers who are new to the profession to help with instructional strategies, classroom management, building and community resources, scheduling, and building practices Assist new teachers with building protocols and culture Provide ongoing support to new teachers Complete and submit contact and support log to building administrator TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The exact terms of this position will be determined by the needs of the district and budgetary constraints. Benefits will be in accordance with approved board policy. Salary will be in accordance with the placement on the Teacher’s Salary Schedule commensurate with years of experience and education.
