Clinical Supervisor QUALIFICATIONS: LPN or RN Certified for the C.N.A. supervisor and E.M.T. Certified for the E.M.T. supervisor. Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed. Able to work independently in a confidential setting. Ability to work with staff, students, and the public. Patient, yet firm. Ability to implement instructional programs with the assistance of the classroom teacher. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Building Administrator. JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of the health occupations curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the national board certifications (C.N.A./E.M.T). To work closely with C.N.A. or E.M.T. instructors to ensure student success during clinical and/or internship experiences for students enrolled in the health programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts self in a professional and positive manner in person, on the phone, and in written communication. Monitors appropriate behavior in clinical settings. Assists student in clinical settings when appropriate. Prepares class materials as needed. Works independently, demonstrating decision-making skills. Contacts the assigned teacher as necessary. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Has regular and predictable attendance. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The exact terms will be determined by the needs of the school and budgetary constraints. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 4. This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Administrator in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. This position has been given an overall physical classification of medium duty. 1 – 33% 34 – 66% 67-100% Light 20 pounds 10 pounds < 1 pound Medium 40 pounds 20 pounds 10 pounds Heavy >50 pounds** 40 pounds 20 pounds **Lifts over 50 pounds with proper body mechanics and 2 or more workers.
