TITLE: PAT Program Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience and background in child development, early childhood education, parents’ education or other related field.
Ability to disseminate parenting information to a diverse set of families in a manner that is non-judgmental, respectful and affirms the strengths of each individual family.
Skills in building rapport and trust relationships.
Demonstrated ability to communicate accurately and effectively by phone and in person through listening, speaking, writing and non-verbally
Experience implementing and managing programs and staff supervision.
Ability to set up budgets.
Computer experience using databases and spreadsheets.
Valid Idaho Driver's license and automobile insurance.
Ability to work with staff, students, and the public.
Reliable personal transportation.
Pass a criminal background check.
REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Federal Programs
JOB GOALS:
To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested, and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards
Achievement Test.
To provide leadership, education and support for the implementation of high-quality programs that enable parents to become their child's best first teacher.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes the PATNC national trainings to become a certified parent educator.
Maintains PAT certification in subsequent years.
Builds and manages program budgets.
Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates Parent Educators.
Identifies and recruits families for the Parents as Teachers program.
Oversees administration of assessment of each child's progress.
Develops the Parents as Teachers program following the PAT guidelines.
Observes Parent Educator home visits one time per month per family.
Plans and implements monthly parent meetings.
Coordinates, collaborates, and connects services with parents, community and agencies.
Collaborates with other community service providers to promote strong families and healthy children.
Provides data analysis, program management, reporting, program evaluation, and grant writing.
Plans and implements staff training as indicated, including 20 hours of in-service training in the first year.
Submits receipts for materials and mileage in an accurate, timely and responsible manner.
Meets with the Supervisor on a regular basis to assess program progress and reviews student/family goals.
Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of program information.
Has regular and predictable attendance.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The PAT Project Coordinator will work up to 20 hours per week, for 50 weeks per year. This is a part-time position and is not eligible for benefits. Wages will be in accordance with
the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 9, depending upon education and experience.
This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment
at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Supervisor of Federal Programs in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
This position has been given an overall physical classification of light duty.
1 – 33% 34 – 66% 67-100%
Light 20 pounds 10 pounds < 1 pound
Medium 40 pounds 20 pounds 10 pounds
Heavy >50 pounds** 40 pounds 20 pounds
**Lifts over 50 pounds with proper body mechanics and 2 or more workers.
