TITLE: Ticket Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
Organized and dependable.
Ability to work with staff, students, and the public.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Building Administrator.
JOB GOALS:
To support the delivery of School District 91’s curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.
To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the school auditorium so that the maximum positive impact on the education of students may be achieved.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This individual will be responsible for game management responsibilities for the following sports: volleyball, football (including the Emotion Bowl every other year), boys and girls
basketball, wrestling, track meets, soccer as needed, as well as district and state events.
Schedules and coordinates game management personnel including ticket sellers and takers, gate watchers and fence watchers.
Manages events by:
Securing entrances prior to each event
Opening doors and gates after each event
Working along with ticket sellers and ticket takers
Patrolling the event to assist the administration with crowd control
Checking hand stamps for attendees as needed
Assisting in administrative and security responsibilities as requested.
Coordinating information with opposing teams (coaches, etc.), officials, event performers, boosters and vendors.
Preparing and displaying event information signs at events
Handles money and tickets for the events by:
Preparing money and cash drawers prior to the event
Counting cash drawers after the event
Preparing and making deposits for each event
Completing an inventory of tickets before and after each event
Preparing and submitting a game report for each event
Ensures that supplies and equipment are ready for each event.
Works closely with administration to ensure that events run smoothly.
Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
Has regular and predictable attendance.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Performs all other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The exact terms will be determined by the needs of the schools and budgetary constraints.
This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment
at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Supervisor of Student Services in accordance with the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
