Two years’ experience in clerical or secretarial work requiring frequent contact with the public. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and reports. Good telephone skills and ability to communicate effectively. Work well with students, staff and the public. Work well under pressure and deadlines. Excellent organizational skills. Maintain confidentiality of staff and students. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. III.REPORTS TO: Building Administrator. IV.JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test. To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the High School office so that the maximum positive impact on the education of students may be achieved V.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Places and receives telephone calls cordially and accurately records messages. Assist, log in and direct visitors to the school. Processes incoming and outgoing correspondence as instructed. Orders and maintains supplies, as needed, under the direction of the Building Principal. Coordinates appointments and arranges for conferences and interviews. Manages student attendance in PowerSchool. Prepares state attendance reports. Tracks staff attendance, including substitute teacher records. Supervise students in emergency situations, attend to ill or hurt students, and administer basic first aid in the absence of a school nurse, and contact parents as instructed. Maintain records on all accidents, incidents, fire drill, and suspension notices. Enroll and keep records/grades for 3B Juvenile Detention Center. Handles cash transactions. Balances cash register and makes daily bank deposits. Creates school purchase orders as needed, receives invoices, and writes checks as needed. Processes p-card transactions on a weekly basis. Maintains financial records of all accounts. Balances all accounts monthly. Prepares monthly financial reports for accounts. Maintains a regular filing system. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Has regular and predictable attendance. VI.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performsall other duties as assigned.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:This position is scheduled for 6 hours per day, 177 days per year. Benefits will be in accordance with approved Board policy. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 6.This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.VIII. EVALUATION:Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Administrator in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
