TITLE: Federal Grants Compliance Assistant - Temporary
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field, or relevant experience with essential duties and responsibilities.
Experience with learning, following, and implementing relevant grant compliance for federal, state, and local agencies.
Ability to communicate and provide training to those involved with grants and reporting.
Able to work with District administration, school administration, employees, community leaders, and the general public.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer
JOB GOALS:
To support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement
Test.
To facilitate the district’s vision and mission through efficient management of federal and state grants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide a variety of specialized administrative support related to federal and state grants through research, analysis and coordination.
Work with district personnel to create, monitor, and report on federal and state grant budgets, including compliance with related rules and regulations.
Implement grant funding guidance and reporting requirements.
Help with coding and matching grant expenses to grant funds, oversee reimbursement data with regards to grant wording for reimbursement.
Gather and report on data from schools and department staff regarding grant compliance.
Stay up to date on all federal, state, and local grant requirements, help with developing procedures and training for relevant district employees.
Provide federal, state, and local documentation of grant compliance.
Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities, as required.
Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position is part-time scheduled for up to 19.5 hours per week, or as needed. This position is being funded with ESSR funds. When funding is depleted this position will be discontinued.
Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 14– 15 depending on experience.
This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The "employment
at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Chief Financial Officer in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physically able to traverse all properties belonging to the school district.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Communication with staff, students and the community; hearing must be within the range of normal human conversation. Visual acuity to prepare and read reports. Verbal communication skills
for interacting with staff, students, families, and the general public. Computer input and filing; manual dexterity for operating standard office equipment. Work Environment: Subject
