Lactation/Breastfeeding
The building administrator will work with the employee to provide a room that is clean, private,
and has a lock on the door. The room should have access to a clean, safe water source for
washing hands and rinsing out any breast-pump equipment. The room may not be a bathroom.
The employee may store the expressed milk in a refrigerator, and it must be labeled with the
employee’s name and the date it was expressed. Any non-conforming products stored in the
refrigerator may be disposed of. Employees storing milk in the refrigerator assume all
responsibility for the safety of the milk and the risk of harm for any reason, including improper
storage, refrigeration and tampering.
