When the student gets to a logical stopping place, say “Stop.” Barbara and Sandi were sisters. They had lived in the same home for their whole lives. It was a small house, but they liked it. They were happy there. They shared a bedroom. It was not a very big bedroom, but it was big enough. The kitchen in the house where Barbara and Sandi grew up was also small. There was only enough room for one of them to be in the kitchen at one time. Barbara and Sandi’s parents wanted to move to a bigger house. They looked at many houses. Some of the houses were as small as their house. Barbara and Sandi’s parents wanted to find a big house. But they needed to find a house that did not cost much more than the house they already lived in. They did not have a lot of extra money to spend. They knew they might have to look for a long time. One day, on the way home from school, Barbara saw a sign. It said ‘house for rent.’ She looked at the house. She wrote down the phone number that was written on the sign. She gave the number to her mom when she got home. Her mom called the number. She talked to the person who was trying to rent the house. As soon as their father got home, the whole family went to go look at the house. The house had three bedrooms: one for the parents, one for Barbara, and one for Sandi. They had found their new home! 12 27 40 53 67 80 94 106 121 135 150 154 168 181 195 208 222 236 248 255 Total Words Read:______ - # of Errors:______ = CWPM:______
