She knew her mother would also be excited. A magic show was coming to town! The show would take place at school. It was going to be on Saturday afternoon. Martha hoped she could go. She wanted her mom to go with her. Martha told her mother about the magic show. Her mom said they could go. Martha could not wait! She had heard about magic shows before. She had seen them on television. She had read about them in books. But she had never seen a magic show in person. Martha asked her mother if the magic show would be scary. She did not want to be scared. Her mother told her that it would not be scary. Her mother told Martha that the magic show would be interesting to watch. She said they would try to see what the magician was doing. She told her daughter that magicians could be very tricky. The day of the magic show came. Martha and her mother went to school to go watch. They sat near the front so they could see the magician’s hands. For the first trick, the magician made a dollar bill disappear. He held it in his right hand. He showed them all where it was. Then he put a white handkerchief over his right hand. He said a magic word. When he moved the handkerchief, the dollar bill was gone! 12 25 38 51 64 77 89 102 112 124 139 150 163 175 188 202 214 229 243 254 Total Words Read:______ - # of Errors:______ = CWPM:______
