Chairman Hill called the meeting to order at 3:01 PM and asked for a motion to adopt the agenda. Trustee Radcliffe
made a motion to adopt the agenda. Trustee Wilson provided the second. Motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. At 3:02
PM Chairman Hill called for a motion to go into Executive Session. Trustee Wilson made a motion to go into
Executive Session pursuant to Idaho Code, Section 74-206 (1)(a). Trustee Haacke provided the second. A roll call
vote was taken Elizabeth Cogliati – yes
Paul Haacke – yes
Lara Hill – yes
Hillary Radcliffe – yes
Larry Wilson – yes
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Karen Echeverria, Executive Director ISBA, Krissy LaMont, Leadership Development Director ISBA and the Board of
Trustees met in Executive Session to interview Candidates for the position of Superintendent and held discussions of
the Superintendent Candidates.
ACTION ITEM
a. Determine Superintendent Finalists
At 5:21 pm Chairman Hill welcomed everyone and thanked all the very talented and qualified candidates
they have been able to interview during this process and stated we must make a very difficult decision and
move forward in our process, she asked for a motion to move a candidate forward.
Trustee Wilson made a motion to move forward with Eric Pingrey as a candidate finalist. Trustee
Wilson stated Eric Pingrey has extensive knowledge, experience, and success with High Reliability
Schools and has taken a school district and community from a point where they were when he took
over the school district, to a very successful school district and community today. Trustee Radcliffe
provided the second. No further discussion. Motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays.

Trustee Haacke made a motion to move forward with Dr. James Shank as a candidate finalist.
Trustee Haacke stated Dr. Shank has a proven track record, he is familiar with Idaho as a
Superintendent, he has gathered experience outside of Idaho, he has been in similar situations that
Idaho Falls School District 91 is in today and through the interviews and reference checks, he has
been successful in navigating through those situations. Trustee Haacke stated Dr. Shank feels that
his job 1 is to make sure there is a caring teacher in every classroom, he is focused on making sure
to take care of teachers, administration, and students, he is proactive in public outreach and
working with the community, and finally he was impressed with his approach. Chairman Cogliati
provided the second. No further discussion. Motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays.
Chairman Hill called for a motion for any further nominations. No further nominations. Karen Echeverria,
Executive Director ISBA stated next steps will be to finalize the Finalist schedule or the board can make a
motion for Karen to work with district staff to finalize the schedule and then submit it to the board.
Trustee Radcliffe made a motion to allow ISBA to work directly with district staff to coordinate final
steps with meet-n-greets, final interviews, and site tours. Trustee Haacke provided the second.
Motion carried 5 ayes 0 nays.
Trustee Cogliati made a motion to adjourn. Trustee Wilson provided the second. Motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays.
Meeting adjourned at 5:26 PM.
