HomeMy WebLinkAboutFed Programs SupvNovember 2002 TITLE: Federal Programs Supervisor QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements. Minimum of ten years teaching and/or supervisory experience. Ability to work with students, staff, administration, and the public. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Schools. JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test. Alignment and delivery of appropriate Title I, Migrant, LEP, State Drug, Federal Drug, 504, and Innovative services with the District’s written, taught, tested, and reported curriculum. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees the implementation of all board policies and state/federal regulations that related to federal programs. Assists in preparing and recommending policies relating to Federal Programs for consideration by the Board of Trustees as per the Superintendent’s direction. Supervises work of Title I, Migrant, LEP, Innovative, State Drug, and Federal Drug staff. Assists building principals in the evaluation of Title I, Migrant, LEP, Innovative, State Drug, and Federal Drug personnel. Coordinates implementation of ESAE/NCLBA as it relates to Title I, Migrant, LEP, State Drug, Federal Drug, Neglected/Delinquent, Improving Teacher Quality, 504, Innovative programs and immigrant children. Serves as liaison to interagency affiliations, State Department, OCR, and Federal Departments related to ESEA. Oversees State/Federal reporting of all programs listed in item E. Completes and submits Consolidated Plan. Designs and assists in implementing student selection, curriculum, and instructional delivery of all programs listed in item E. Coordinates budgeting in all programs listed in item E. Prepares job descriptions for all programs listed in item E. Assists in recruitment, selection, and placement of certified and classified staff within the District. Writes Innovative program grants. Maintains interagency contracts. Acts as the Central Office representative on the Education Foundation Board. Serves on the Pay Grade Committee. Seeks out opportunities for professional growth. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The exact terms of this position will be determined by the needs of the district and budgetary constraints. Benefits will be in accordance with approved board policy. Salary will be in accordance with the placement on the Administrator’s Salary Schedule commensurate with years of experience and education. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent of Schools in accordance with board policy.
