Ability to work with students, staff, parents, and the public. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Building Administrator and Director of Federal Programs JOB GOALS: To establish Campus-based After School Program (through 21st Century Community Learning Centers) that strives to improve student academics, attendance, behavior, promotion rates, and graduation rates. To help students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible individuals. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with teachers, students, principal and community to design, implement, and manage an exciting and engaging schedule of programs for academic enrichment, remediation, and exploration that meets the needs of students and families and the articulated goals of the grant. Ensure the establishment and implementation of all policies and procedures that fulfill the requirements of the 21st Century Learning Community Center. Establish, maintain and strengthen community partnerships. Track and regularly report center expenditures against the grant budget. Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance, participation or other data as needed. Complete the annual program evaluation and report to stakeholders and grant issuer. Collect, organize, and report program and student data and information to meet grant reporting and evaluation requirements. Develop and implement a sustainability plan for the program; follow through with efforts and activities to secure ongoing funding. Train and enforce staff compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Develop and implement staff and volunteer training and professional development opportunities. Develop strong partnerships and public relations with parents, the school district, and community organizations. Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required. Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for classroom paraprofessionals and/or volunteers. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all other duties as assigned consistent with the responsibilities of a teacher, the Idaho Code of Ethics, and the negotiated contract. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The exact terms of this position will be determined by the needs of the district and budgetary constraints. Benefits will be in accordance with approved board policy. Salary will be in accordance with the placement on the Teacher’s Salary Schedule commensurate with years of experience and education. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Administrator in accordance with provisions of the negotiated master agreement and board policy.
