HomeMy WebLinkAboutSatellite ServerApril 2004 TITLE: Satellite Server QUALIFICATIONS: A, High School Diploma preferred. Possess a current Food Handlers Card. Ability to work with staff, students and the public. Strong math and communication skill Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds. Willingness to try new ideas. Physically able to perform assigned duties. Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Child Nutrition Supervisor. JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test. To serve the students and staff nutritious and attractive meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and warmth. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Knows and follows nutritional guidelines. Sets up the serving line. Supervises student servers. Serves the food in an efficient and pleasant manner. Prepares and packs leftover food for storage or for return to the kitchen. Cleans up serving area and prepares dishes, pans, etc. for return to the kitchen. Participates in the cleaning of serving, storage, and dining areas. Knows and follows health and sanitation procedures. Performs dishwashing duties as assigned. Completes paperwork as requested. Performs major cleaning assignments at regularly scheduled intervals as directed by the satellite cashier. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior. Has regular and predictable attendance. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A. Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The exact terms of this position will be determined by the needs of the school and budgetary constraints. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 2. This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Child Nutrition Supervisor in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
