Ability to work with staff, students and the public. Excellent driving record and skills. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to drive a 2 ton truck and back up using the mirrors. Physically able to perform assigned duties. Available to work on short notice. Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Child Nutrition Supervisor. JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test. To transport food and supplies for the child nutrition program in an efficient, timely and safe manner to enable the cafeterias to operate efficiently. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Picks up food and supplies from the kitchens and transports it to the satellite schools in a safe and timely manner. Unloads food and supplies and transports to cafeterias. Returns to satellite schools and returns the soiled dishes and leftover food to the kitchens. Picks up the daily deposit from the school cashiers and transports it to the District secretary/treasurer. Maintains a clean driving record. Picks up foods from the warehouse and delivers when needed. Operates a forklift as needed. Is responsible for the cleanliness of the delivery van. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A. Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is an on-call position. Wages will be in accordance with the Substitute Salary Schedule at a rate of $10.04 per hour. This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated by the Child Nutrition Supervisor in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. This position has been given an overall physical classification of heavy duty. 1 – 33% 34 – 66% 67-100% Heavy >50 pounds** 40 pounds 20 pounds **Lifts over 50 pounds with proper body mechanics and 2 or more workers.
