Strong organizational and planning skills. Proficiency in clerical skills of word processing, filing, operating calculators and other office machines, etc. Ability to work with staff, students, and the public. Ability to work independently. Two years experience in clerical or secretarial work requiring frequent contact with the public. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Secondary Education JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91’s curriculum and assessment program, maximizing student achievement. To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the curriculum office so that the maximum positive impact on the education of students may be achieved. To implement and maintain the state and district student testing and assessment services within established guidelines and standards. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with the Curriculum Coordinators to purchase, inventory, deliver and store curriculum resources and materials. Organizes and maintains files concerning curriculum, new adoptions, curriculum committees, purchases, budgets, inservices, etc. Works with the Assessment Coordinator to ensure the timely administration and reporting of student testing data. Facilitates test administration of all standardized tests including but not limited to state mandated assessments. Coordinates delivery of testing accommodations and alternate assessment for inclusion of all students in state assessments. Compiles with testing guidelines and legal requirements established for the administration of various contracted testing programs. Ensures the security of testing materials, scores, and other data. Trains and schedules testing proctors. Manages the district mobile testing labs in coordination with Technology Department to ensure that the resources are being utilized and well maintained. Completes purchase order requests as needed and spreadsheets showing yearly purchases. Collects, records, and files observations and end of year performance reviews for all certificated personnel. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information. Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is scheduled for 8 hours per day, 241 days per year. Benefits will be in accordance with approved Board policy. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 6. This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
