Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge and experience in basic office skills and the operation of office equipment. Available for work beginning at 6:00 a.m. Must be a self-starter and able to work with little supervision. Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Director of Elementary Education JOB GOAL: To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test. To contribute to the effective operation of the school district by ensuring that qualified substitute teachers are placed in classrooms during teacher absences. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Implements and maintains the SubFinder Computer System. Enters and updates all substitute and teacher information as needed. Ensures that substitute teachers and paraprofessionals are provided as requested. Provides training to substitutes, teachers, and secretaries on the use of the SubFinder software. Prepares, updates, and distributes substitute teacher lists to principals, secretaries, and administrators. Conducts training sessions for new substitute teachers. Completes required paperwork. Has regular and predictable attendance. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides coverage of the receptionist desk as requested. Assists other departments as needed. Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a part-time position scheduled for 3.5 hours per day during the school year. The normal work schedule starts at 6:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 6. This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time, or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Director of Elementary Education in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
