Ability to work with students, staff, parents, and the public. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Building Principal JOB GOALS: Response to Intervention (RTI) To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement. To help students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible individuals. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop standard protocol for intervention The RTI Coach is a site-based teacher with responsibility for facilitating the implementation of the RTI Process at the school level. The RTI Coach works closely with the RTI Team consisting of school administration, counselors, attendance clerk, and the SRO if necessary. This person also works with all the teachers to gather their input and referrals Staff Training: The RTI Coach is responsible for facilitating building-based training for problem-solving and response to intervention skills. The Coach works collaboratively with and acts as leader of the school-based RTI Team to develop and implement the RTI training/awareness and facilitates the weekly meetings of the RTI Team Technical Assistance: The RTI Coach provides technical assistance to building administrators, teachers and the school-based team to facilitate response-to-intervention activities Data Collection and Management. The RTI Coach also serves as the site “data coach” to facilitate the management and interpretation of data necessary to develop the focus for the RTI Team TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The exact terms of this position will be determined by the needs of the district and budgetary constraints. Benefits will be in accordance with approved board policy. Salary will be in accordance with the placement on the Teacher’s Salary Schedule commensurate with years of experience and education.
