HomeMy WebLinkAboutMaintenance Lead PersonNovember 2007 TITLE: Maintenance Lead Person QUALIFICATIONS: Prior/ current work experience for School District 91 Maintenance Department. Working knowledge in area of responsibility. High School Diploma preferred. Ability to work with staff, students and the public. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Physically capable of performing assigned tasks. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Director of Operations. JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test. To help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assigns work orders to maintenance employees in area of responsibility. Works with Operations Support Specialist and Director of Operations to prioritize work orders in areas of responsibility. Consults with Director of Operations on all work to be performed in area of responsibility. Attends construction meetings as needed. Designs, as needed, in-house projects relating to area of responsibility. Supervises Maintenance Department as needed. Completes all work orders as assigned. Assists Director of Operations with job inspections. Assists Director of Operations with employee performance evaluations. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Has regular and predictable attendance. Is on call for district for emergencies in area of responsibility. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all other duties as assigned. VII: TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This assignment shall entail a stipend payable in monthly installments and shall be evaluated each year as to efficacy. This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time, or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Director of Operations in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. This position has been given an overall physical classification of heavy duty. 1 – 33% 34 – 66% 67-100% Heavy >50 pounds** 40 pounds 20 pounds **Lifts over 50 pounds with proper body mechanics and 2 or more workers.
