Able to work with staff, students and the public. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and transporting packages up to 100 pounds with the use of a hand truck. Must be able to climb stairs with heavy packages. Must be trained to operate a fork lift. Valid Idaho Driver’s License. Supervisory skills. Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Director of Operations. JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test. To safeguard the district’s investment in materials through efficient and effective warehousing practices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises warehouse activities, including shipping/receiving, mail delivery (turtle), submitting requests for bids, ordering, cleanliness. Supervises the warehouse courier. Works directly with the procurement specialist to develop requests for quotes and order supplies. Reviews the vendors’ bids and examines bid samples. Makes specific recommendations on items. Balances reduced costs with maintaining adequate supplies. Works directly with accounts payable specialist and business office to reconcile invoices and Pcard purchases. Works directly with each head custodians to develop and maintain adequate min/max inventory levels and standard purchases. Develops necessary practices to assure district consumable supplies are maintained as low as reasonably possible. Works directly with curriculum department to process and deliver curriculum materials to schools. Meets with auditors on an as-needed basis to review warehouse practices. Acts as a resource to customers to research new product information. Posts Skyward charges to schools for supplies. Receives deliveries and checks in supplies. Compares items delivered to items ordered. Sends written notification to Accounts Payable of items received. Maintains a supply of consumable items in the warehouse. Contacts vendors for price quotes and prepares purchase order requests. Evaluates complaints received on equipment and supplies and takes appropriate action. Receives consumable supply orders and fills promptly. Maintains the warehouse in a neat and orderly manner. Delivers supplies and fills in for the warehouse courier as needed. Communicates with vendors and staff regarding the status of orders. Completes required paperwork. Removes snow from sidewalks as needed. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Has regular and predictable attendance. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is scheduled for 8 hours per day, 260 days per year. Monday through Friday is considered to be the normal workweek. Emergency conditions may arise which will require attention at any hour of the day or night. Benefits will be in accordance with approved Board policy. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 11. This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time, or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Coordinator of Business Functions in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. This position has been given an overall physical classification of heavy duty. 1 – 33% 34 – 66% 67-100% Heavy >50 pounds** 40 pounds 20 pounds **Lifts over 50 pounds with proper body mechanics and 2 or more workers.
