HomeMy WebLinkAboutDrama Coach - High SchoolFebruary 2001 TITLE: Drama Coach – High School QUALIFICATIONS: Holds a valid Idaho Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in drama. Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory. Ability to work with staff, students, and the public. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Building Administrator. JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91’s curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement. To help each participating student gain knowledge and skills in drama; and to discover and develop dramatic talents. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Selects, produces and directs a minimum of one drama production for the public during each grading period. Establishes and oversees a budget for the drama program. Supervises and conducts all practices. Chaperones and supervises students on all trips and at all performances. Supervises and chaperones all district and state level drama competitions. Maintains a direct line of communication with administration. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Employed annually under the Drama Coach stipend as per the Stipend Schedule as listed in the Negotiated Master Contract between Idaho Falls School District 91 and the Idaho Falls Education Association. VII. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Administrator as part of the teacher evaluation process in accordance with the Negotiated Master Contract.
