HomeMy WebLinkAboutMiddle School Team LeadersFebruary 2001 TITLE: Middle School Team Leaders QUALIFICATIONS: Holds a valid Idaho Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in the assigned subject area. Is a full-time certified staff member. Ability to work with staff, students and the public. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Building Administrator JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91’s curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement. To achieve and maintain standards of excellence in teaching so that each student may derive the greatest academic and personal benefit from the learning experience. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Attends faculty and Team Leader meetings as requested by the Building Administrator. Attends and participates in district level curricular and departmental meetings. Conducts regularly scheduled meetings of department members. Disseminates pertinent information to department members. Coordinates and supervises the development of curriculum for the department as appropriate. Assists in the planning of teaching schedules for department members at the direction of the principal. Assists with the selection of textbooks and with the textbook adoption process. Inventories all department equipment, books, and reference materials and makes sure equipment is working properly. Prepares all orders for books and supplies for the department. Catalogs all new and replacement books. Monitors consumable supply budget for the department. Prepares reports as needed. Serves for a two-year term. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Employed annually under the Middle School Team Leader stipend as per the Stipend Schedule as listed in the Negotiated Master Contract between Idaho Falls School District 91 and the Idaho Falls Education Association. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Administrator as part of the teacher evaluation process in accordance with the Negotiated Master Contract.
