HomeMy WebLinkAboutSummer Band Director - HSMarch 2000 TITLE: Summer Band Director – High School QUALIFICATIONS: Holds a valid Idaho Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in instrumental music. Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory. Ability to work with staff, students, and the public. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Building Administrator and District Music Coordinator. JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91’s curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement. To help each participating student have a positive experience as they prepare for and perform in the 4th of July Parade. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Organizes, practices, and directs a marching band for the 4th of July Parade. Actively supports music in the community. Communicates with band members and parents regularly regarding scheduled band activities. Maintains a direct line of communication with administration. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Employed annually under the High School Summer Band Director stipend as per the Stipend Schedule as listed in the Negotiated Master Contract between Idaho Falls School District 91 and the Idaho Falls Education Association. VII. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Administrator as part of the teacher evaluation process in accordance with the Negotiated Master Contract.
