Experience in most or all of these areas: Apple Macintosh and Windows operating systems and application software. Internet. Basic troubleshooting and maintenance of technology hardware and software. Uses of technology in education. Ability to work with staff, students, and the public. Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed. Physically able to perform assigned duties. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Building Administrator. JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test. To help integrate the use of technology into the various school programs, assisting teachers in lab and classrooms, performing minor troubleshooting, and interfacing with Technology Tech Team for in depth technology support. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A. Assists teachers in lab and classrooms with student use of technology. B. Performs minor troubleshooting in lab and classroom for immediate fixes and communicates unresolved problems to Tech Team. C. Serves as point of contact between school and Tech Team for in depth technology support. D. Installs, maintains and organizes instructional software on school workstations. E Maintains a record of available software according to subject area. F. Provides proctoring of on-line testing of students and assists teachers in the management of student accounts required by various instructional software applications such as AR, etc. G. Gains proficiency in the major approved District software packages and assists school staff and students in their use. H. Knows and supports District policies regarding technology integration in order to provide unified and effective support for technology to students and staff. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Has regular and predictable attendance. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The exact terms will be determined by the needs of the school and budgetary constraints. Benefits will be in accordance with approved Board policy. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 3. This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Administrator in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. This position has been given an overall physical classification of light duty. 1 – 33% 34 – 66% 67-100% Light 20 pounds 10 pounds < 1 pound Medium 40 pounds 20 pounds 10 pounds Heavy >50 pounds** 40 pounds 20 pounds **Lifts over 50 pounds with proper body mechanics and 2 or more workers.
