Experience in most or all of these areas: PowerSchool SIS Admin SchoolMessenger or other similar student contact/messaging solutions Workstation operating systems and basic application software (e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, browsers, and presentation software) Exporting data from systems (e.g. PowerSchool) and/or executing database queries Presenting data in various formats (e.g. Excel PivotTables, charts/tables, CSV/TXT, and PDF) Uses of technology in education Ability to work with teaching and support staff, parents, and occasionally students Must provide excellent customer service to persons of all experience levels. Knowledge of student information management best practices Demonstrates aptitude for the work to be performed Able to perform assigned duties Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable REPORTS TO: Student Information Systems Coordinator JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.  To integrate and manage the Student Information management and reporting software applications throughout the District. To provide training and support to school staff regarding the uses and maintenance of the Student Information systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Communicate with PowerSchool and other software vendors for purposes of acting as liaison in resolving general operational problems and technical issues. Provide support of our systems, whether by telephone, e-mail, in-person, and/or screen sharing (e.g. WebEx). Perform routine file management tasks, including transferring, loading, archiving and converting data for purposes of managing, maintaining and securing student information. Monitor completion of data projects, identify problems and report progress to the supervisor. Leverage analytics/reporting tools, PowerSchool, queries, and/or exports to respond to inquiries and requests for data. Organize and prepare system software documentation, procedural documentation and operations instructions for purposes of promoting efficient utilization of system software. Generate and upload data for purposes of meeting state (e.g. ISEE) and federal (e.g. CRDC) reporting requirements. Assist in annual PowerSchool setup/configuration (i.e. End-of-Year Process) Attend local, regional, state or national meetings as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions. Read, interpret and apply technical information for purposes of facilitating PowerSchool operations. Assist other personnel in the completion of their work activities. Work closely with others in IT on issues involving PowerSchool and the instructional program. Assist with support of scheduling. Support teachers with their gradebooks. Understand and troubleshoot GPAs, honor roll, and other student ranking systems. Gain proficiency in the District Student Information software systems and support school staff in their use. Including, but not limited to: PowerSchool SIS, PowerTeacher, PowerTeacher Pro, Unified Classroom, Performance Matters, PowerSchool Learning, and PowerSchool Special Programs. Coordinates all work with the District IT staff. Knows and supports District policies regarding technology integration, such as standardization and network use protocol, in order to provide unified and effective support for technology. Maintains the highest standards of ethical behavior, confidentiality, honesty and integrity. Has regular and predictable attendance. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The exact terms will be determined by the needs of the school and budgetary constraints. Benefits will be in accordance with approved Board policy. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 11-13. This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Student Information Systems Coordinator in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
