HomeMy WebLinkAboutAssessment Technician (1)October 2020 TITLE: Assessment Technician QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma. Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed. Ability to follow standardized test directions and operate computerized scoring of the tests. Strong organizational skills. Competence in basic computer skill; i.e. e-mail, word processing, etc. Must have own transportation; mileage will be reimbursed by the district. Ability to work with staff, students, and the public. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS TO: Director of Student Services. JOB GOAL: To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement. To administer individual achievement tests at the Direction of the School Psychologists and Speech/Language Pathologists to do observations to enable the related service providers to identify those students eligible for services. Assists related service providers in paperwork, clerical organization, and setting up meetings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administers individual achievement tests in accordance with the training provided. Conducts assessment procedures in accordance with the training provided. Performs observations as requested by a school psychologist or SLP. Assists in paperwork, emails and coordination with the school teams for related service providers. Operates computerized scoring of the test instruments. Prints assessment results using software programs designed to score tests. Maintains professional conduct and appearance. Strives to improve and maintain job skills through training and inservice as directed. Completes all paperwork as assigned. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Has regular and predictable attendance. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The exact terms will be determined by the needs of the schools and budgetary constraints. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 4. This is an “at will” position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The “employment at will” policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Director of Student Services in accordance with the Board’s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. This position has been given an overall physical classification of light duty. 1 – 33% 34 – 66% 67-100% Light 20 pounds 10 pounds < 1 pound Medium 40 pounds 20 pounds 10 pounds Heavy >50 pounds** 40 pounds 20 pounds **Lifts over 50 pounds with proper body mechanics and 2 or more workers.
